Plants that made us happy when we were children and teenagers
There are things that only children of yesteryear could understand, like the joy that certain little plants that marked our childhood adventures gave us. Each one had its own special magic, and that's why we remember them with a smile today.
1. Sleepyheads
The perfect entertainment! If you found a sleepyhead, time stood still. Touching them became a ritual, and just watching their leaves close under your touch was enough to fill you with joy. Spending time next to these plants was a plan I needed no more.
2. Lemon bushes
These little ones were a real challenge for the palate. Although their bitter taste wasn't for everyone, lemon micates were a feast for the brave. It didn't matter if an insect had already passed by (we didn't give it much thought), we ate them and, in the process, strengthened our immune system. Quite an act of childish bravery!
3. Dandelion
Blowing dandelions was all we needed to be happy. There were no cell phones or money, but finding these flowers was enough to make wishes and laugh while watching the seeds fly. It was the magic of the little things.
4. Romantic dandelion
When dandelion flowers turned yellow, they became the perfect gesture. Putting together a bunch and giving it to your mom or your crush was the childhood equivalent of a declaration of love. Those were the days!
5. African tulip, pipicitos or witch's chichi
If you've never played war with pipicitos, did you have a childhood? Before flowering, these plants had buds that released a fragrant liquid, and it was inevitable to use them to joke with friends. They were harmless weapons that guaranteed laughter and the occasional scolding.
